What is your signature?

During my many years as a manicurist and actually from the very beginning when I picked up my first bottle of nail polish, I've been polishing underneath the nails. I love contrasting nail color as well as using a same color over and under. Painting over and under the nail IS my signature!

What is the most complicated task ever demanded of you?

Ha! Funny you should ask! The most complicated task ever demanded of me was removing honey from the bare hands and feet of a male model (womens shoe campagne) standing in a pool of honey! I was distracted by him and his rather tiny bathing suit not to mention that the honey was very difficult to keep removed

What do you find fun about your job?

I love my work and I love being surrounded by others who love what they are doing! Being in love with my work automatically makes every job fun! Meeting various Creatives who have come together for the moment is astounding. I feel blessed and exhilarated!

What inspires you?

Color, texture, fabrics, lighting, the way a model moves her hands and the feeling of the jewelry or mode we are working with or even by daydreaming.

And the job that you won't forget?

The most unforgettable job is with Mario Testino doing the Perelli calender for 2001. Styling 12 of the worlds most amazing models was Carine Roitfeld along side of the best of the best makeup and hair talent, Tom Pecheux and Marc Lopez! Excellent!

What do you see as today's modern manicure?

Today, manicuring is boundless in variety. The ultimate manicure to me is super clean nails painted with a delicate muted natural skin tone for a pure, discreet and healthy look. Today's ultimate modernity is a male "man"i-cure using "Male" polish.
