Born and raised in Marseille, surrounded by his sisters and inspired by his mother, who ran a perfumery, Karim Rahman has always been a keen observer of women’s habits, rituals and sense of beauty.
He discovered the world of makeup through a photographic exhibition by Topolino—a revelation that led him to pursue a career in beauty. After assisting renowned makeup artists, including Pat McGrath, Karim went on to collaborate with some of the industry's leading magazines, photographers, stylists and luxury brands.
For seven years, he served as a Makeup Expert for L’Oréal Paris France, contributing to product innovation while representing the brand through international press, educational and backstage activities.
Alongside his work in beauty, Karim has pursued a passion for ceramics, a practice that has deepened his understanding of form, texture and colour.
Based in Paris, Karim Rahman is available for projects worldwide.
